Rob Walton and Russell Coleman

+ + +

Russ Coleman has worked as a public artist for over twenty years, working on various large and small projects.  He has always been interested in the origins of art: the ideas behind a piece and the materials used.  He trained as a stonemason, and has also worked in wood, metal, concrete and other materials.

Rob Walton is a writer, performer and artist, writing short stories, flash fictions, script and poetry for both adults and children.  The winner of 2015’s National Flash Fiction Day micro-fiction competition, his work also features on 2016’s National Poetry Day website.  He has always been interested in toilets.

Russ and Rob collaborated on the New Hartley Memorial Pathway, Enchanted Parks and the SO Festival.  They both live on Tyneside and have often worked in Hull.
